"I am often asked why I specialize in colour. Colour is the first and most important element in design.  Whether applied to art, graphics, make up, fashion or interior design, accurate interpretation and application of colour theory is vital to your success. Colour has the ability to lift the every day out of the ordinary, into the extraordinary. If one aims to excel in the field of colour, it takes education, ability, and much much practice".

Dissatisfied with the accuracy of personal colour systems available in Australia, Amelia searched the globe to find the most professional, accurate, accountable and scientifically based system available.    

"Like the cosmetic's industry, the ever expanding image industry is largely unregulated.  There is very little protection or guarantee of accuracy, authenticity or quality of product or service for the consumer.  As the image industry stands today any one can, and does, offer their 'own' brand of personal colour analysis. The problem with this is that because they are not technically qualified in field of colour, the systems and tools are inadequate, and the results produced inaccurate".

“There is little point in ‘styling’ somebody without the offer of knowledge, tools, support  and continuing education.  A 'styled' client may leave looking great, but how do they translate that ‘look’ successfully into their everyday lives?  I can’t be there every second of the day to advise them, and I don’t think they would want me there at 7am each morning either!
