Professional Sci\ART™ analysis is accomplished by observing and comparing the optical effects created by two adjoining colours on the skin.

Test colours are typically in the form of coloured fabric scarves, which are draped across the shoulders under the client's chin (commercially printed card board test materials do not provide the level of accuracy needed for accurate colour analysis). 

The Sci\ART™ analyst is specifically looking to find a colour tone that is in harmony with the client's skin tone. By understanding the optical effects of harmonious and opposing colours, and the principals of simultaneous contrast, the Sci\ART™ analysts is able to identify the individual skin tone.
